Unity Phelan

Unity Phelan is a soloist with the New York City Ballet. Born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey, she joined NYCB in 2013 and was promoted to soloist in 2017. Since joining NYCB, Phelan has danced leading roles in ballets by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, William Forsythe, Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, Justin Peck, and many other choreographers. In 2019, Phelan was awarded the Lincoln Center award for Emerging Artists. Along with ballet dancing, Phelan has appeared in the films John Wick 3: Parabellum, and Netflix’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things. During the pandemic, Phelan has completed her Bachelors in Economics and Organizational Leadership from Fordham University.
